This coffee is grown on a farm owned by Edy Mauricio Deras and in situated in the Azacualpa area of la Union, Copan.

Edy has owned the farm Dayana, which spans 28 hectares, for the past 10 years. The farm is 1,400masl and grows four main types of coffee namely; Red Catuai, Lempira, IHCAFE90 and Parainema.

The owners have been focused on maximising their productivity by experimenting with plant densities, pruning styles and organic fertilization methods.

Although the farm is very productive and efficient, Edy is still reliant on the volatile market price of coffee and so he has started to produce micro-lots this year in order to access the fixed prices of the specialty market.
